Share your wired connection with other nearby devices by creating a WiFi hotspot. Works with any computer that embeds a wireless network card.
Free WiFi Hotspot is a software-based router that lets you share your Internet connection. The application offers a very simple approach to turning your notebook, laptop, or wireless-enabled PC into a WiFi hotspot so you can easily share your connection to other computers and mobile devices.
Although it's very easy to setup an ad hoc network on Windows 7, Free WiFi Hotspot comes in handy for users without much experience since the process requires just a few steps. The application gathers all its settings and options into the same window, where you will simply input the hotspot name (SSID) and password. From the drop-down menu, you just need to select the connection you want to share, which can be WiFi, Dial-up, 3G, 4G, etc.
Free WiFi Hotspot works well and what I liked the most about it is how easy it is to setup. However, compared with other free alternatives, it is rather basic and lacks several essential features, like the possibility of monitoring the users connected to your network and details about each client.
One last note, Free WiFi Hotspot is free but comes bundled with additional software so be wary when installing so you don't get any unwanted extras.

I do not have this installed so I'm wondering why it appears at all.
